JBS is one of the world’s largest meat producers. They’re also behind much of the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest and it’’s owners have have been prosecuted in Brazil for corruption.

They wanted to be listed on Wall Street to gain legitimacy, to have money pour into their business so that they get richer and they have access to more finance which will propel their environmental vandalism.
