Publishing design

Designing for publishing is something I love doing. There’s something I find deeply satisfying about sequencing information, making sense content and making it flow across pages - a fusion of practical neccesity - the end product being legible and reader-centred - with a design style devised to express and interact with the meeing of the content.

From reports about extinction, critical minerals, deforestation and deep-sea mining as well as prospectuses for schools, promotional brochures for property developers or newspapers for football clubs - amongst all the essential content there are always opportunities to elevate. To have text, photos, infographics, illustrations and maps come together in front of the readers’ eyes, and not just function but to engender an emotional response. That’s the thing.

Below is a living archive of publishing projects. How you enjoy them as much I do when creating them. Some exist as printed books, if you ask nicely - and I have one spare - I will post you one.
